Bing Search APIs are Transitioning

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, as things are moving more and more online, having effective internet search experiences enabled, in the customer as well as business applications, has become even more important. Whether it’s an educator’s need to check online submissions for plagiarism or a crowdsourcing app’s requirement of restricting fraudulent online profiles. If it’s enabling better discoverability of content or improving user engagement via site search. All such scenarios need the ability to search the internet efficiently. And Bing Search APIs is the right tool to do so. Bing Search APIs provide options to developers to enable search experiences for specific content types such as Web, Images, Videos, News, Entities, etc. without Ads.

Please check out our new Marketing portal which can help to learn more about different Bing Search APIs.

We are Transitioning

To reach out to wider audiences, Bing Search APIs will be transitioning from Azure Cognitive Services Platform to Azure Marketplace. Beginning October 31st, 2020, provisioning of any new instances of Bing Search APIs will need to be done via Azure Marketplace. All existing instances of Bing Search APIs, provisioned under Azure Cognitive Services, will be supported up to the next three years or till the end of the customer’s enterprise agreement, whichever happens first.

As we know, Bing APIs are bundled together to address different Business Scenarios. Customers will be delighted to know that we are expanding our free tier offering by including Autosuggest, Spell Check, and Entity Search APIs in the F0 bundle. Also, we are reducing the price of the S6 bundle to $3 USD per 1000 transactions, which is comprised of Web Search and Entity Search APIs. You can check out these updates on our pricing page on the new portal.
